Privacy notice

Who we are
NOWtech Limited (NZBN registered, "we", "us") operates this website at nowtech.nz. You can reach us at hello@nowtech.nz.
What this notice covers
This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. It applies to anyone who visits the site or contacts us through it. Personal information you share with us under a signed engagement (e.g. during a security or privacy review) is governed separately by the engagement letter and any associated NDA.
What we collect, and why
When you submit the contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your company name
- Your email address
- Optionally: the kind of help you're after, the system you're describing, and a message
We collect this information for one reason only: to respond to your enquiry and continue the conversation about whether we can help. We do not use it for marketing lists, profiling, or any other purpose without your explicit consent.
We do not currently use website analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, this notice will be updated and the change disclosed before any data is collected.
How the form is secured
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that submissions are made by a human, not an automated bot. Turnstile may collect technical signals from your browser (e.g. user agent, browser characteristics) for that single purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Where your information goes
Submissions are sent directly to our inbox at hello@nowtech.nz, hosted on Google Workspace. We do not store form submissions in a separate customer database. The information stays in our email inbox until we no longer need it (see "How long we keep it" below).
We use the following third-party providers to operate the site and respond to enquiries:
- Cloudflare — website hosting (Cloudflare Pages) and bot protection (Turnstile).
- Google — email hosting (Google Workspace) for receiving and replying to your enquiry.
Each of these providers operates global infrastructure and may store or process data outside New Zealand, including in the United States and the European Union. We rely on their published privacy commitments and contractual safeguards for cross-border disclosure under Information Privacy Principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 24 months) so we can pick up where we left off if you return to us. After that, or sooner on request, we delete them.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold any personal information about you
- Provide you with a copy of that information
- Correct anything that is inaccurate
- Delete it

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

We may update this notice as our practices change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
